Santiago Advisors sponsored this year's award ceremony for the start-up competition ‘PlanB - Biobased.Business.Bavaria’, where six promising start-ups presented their ideas for a sustainable, bio-based future. In front of around 140 invited guests in Straubing, the finalists impressed with their creative concepts for the bioeconomy of tomorrow. Our colleague Mirja was there as a jury member and was able to honour the winning teams together with the jury.
First place went to the CeraSleeve® team from Darmstadt with innovative silica-based paper additives. Circular grain from Freising took second place with a milk alternative based on spent grains, followed by Radical Dot, whose approach to the chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste also impressed the jury. We would like to congratulate all the finalists - you show how entrepreneurship, technology and sustainability can work together successfully.
