The results of the first CHEMonitor survey in 2025 send a clear message: In order to remain competitive, Germany’s chemical and pharmaceutical industry depends on improved framework conditions at the national level. At the same time, participating professionals see a need for action within companies themselves – particularly with regard to the survey’s key focus: Demographics and AI. According to the respondents, organizations must strengthen their ability to harness the potential of artificial intelligence while also addressing the growing skills shortage driven by demographic change.
